The Indian Consulate in Sydney on November 26 commemorated India’s Constitution Day with a solemn reading of the Preamble to the Constitution. The event aimed to reaffirm the officials’ commitment to the ideals and aspirations enshrined in the Constitution of India.
Speaking at the gathering, officials highlighted the importance of the day, celebrating the guiding principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity that form the foundation of the world’s largest democracy.
Officials at the Melbourne Consulate read out the Preamble to reaffirm their commitment to uphold ideals and aspirations of the people, enshrined in the Constitution of India.
The Indian Consulate in Perth also celebrated the Samvidhan Diwas reaffirming the pledge to uphold the ideologies of the Indian Constitution.
Constitution Day, also known as National Law Day, is observed annually on November 26, marking the adoption of the Constitution in 1949. The event served as a reminder of the enduring relevance of the Constitution’s values for Indians around the globe.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold these ideals in service of the community and nation.
