A group of students from SRM Public School, Chennai received a warm welcome in Melbourne as they participated in the Global Design Challenge 2025, an international education initiative hosted by the Department of Education of Victoria in partnership with the Knox Innovation Opportunity and Sustainability Centre (KIOSC).
During their visit, the students collaborated with their counterparts from Keysborough College, working together on innovative solutions focused on clean energy and sustainable living. The hands-on learning experience allowed students to engage in global problem-solving while fostering cultural exchange.
The delegation had the opportunity to interact with Dr Sushil Kumar, Consul General of India in Melbourne, who encouraged the students to continue pursuing ideas that promote sustainability and innovation. He praised the program for enhancing India-Australia educational cooperation and empowering young minds to think globally.
The visit underscores the growing emphasis on international collaboration in school education and highlights the shared commitment of India and Australia to address global challenges through youth-led initiatives.
