The High Commission of India hosted around 60 Indian students under the prestigious Future Research Talent (FRT) program at the Australian National University (ANU) recently. During this short-term research engagement, the High Commissioner highlighted the importance of such collaborations in enhancing Australia-India relations and contributing to global progress.
The FRT awards, jointly offered by the ANU College of Science, ANU College of Health and Medicine, and ANU College of Engineering, Computing, and Cybernetics, are designed to attract the top international students from premier Indian institutions. These awards offer students exposure to ANU’s advanced research across Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine (STEMM) disciplines.
The program provides a significant opportunity for India’s emerging research talent to forge international connections and hone their research skills at a globally renowned university. Significantly, ANU is ranked 34th in the QS World University Rankings 2024, further emphasizing the elite status of this program.
