SYDNEY, June 5 / INDIAN ABROAD NEWSDESK

A roundtable discussion featuring women founders from India emerged as a key highlight of The Women’s Circle initiative, strengthening business links between India and Australia while encouraging cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Held at the Consulate General of India in Sydney on May 25, the discussion was chaired by Consul General Dr. S. Janakiraman and brought together members of The Big LEAP delegation comprising women entrepreneurs and business leaders from India.

The session provided a platform for participants to share their experiences, discuss emerging opportunities and explore avenues for greater engagement between Indian and Australian businesses.

Organisers said the presence of women founders from India added a valuable international dimension to the discussions, offering insights into entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership across different markets.

The exchange of ideas highlighted the growing role of women-led enterprises in fostering economic cooperation and creating opportunities for collaboration across borders.

Participants also examined ways to strengthen commercial and professional networks between India and Australia, with a focus on innovation, business development and community engagement.

The roundtable helped build stronger connections between members of the Indian diaspora and the wider Australian business community, reinforcing the importance of people-to-people links in supporting economic and professional partnerships.

Attendees welcomed the opportunity to engage directly with entrepreneurs from India and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities shaping contemporary business environments.

The discussions also identified potential areas for future cooperation, mentorship and partnership, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and leadership among women.
