The High Commissioner of India attended the Australia Day celebrations hosted by the Federation of Indian Associations of ACT Inc (FINACT) on January 26. The event began with a traditional welcome and smoking ceremony, setting the stage for a vibrant display of talent from the Indian community in Canberra.
The celebration featured a range of performances, including instrumental music, dancing, and singing, all showcasing the artistic abilities of the Indian diaspora. Additionally, the event highlighted the creative expressions of children as young as three years old, with paintings from teenagers also displayed, reflecting deep artistic talent and creativity.
