President of the Legislative Council Alanna Clohesy MLC, and Speaker of the Western Australian Parliament Stephen Price MLA, in collaboration with the Indian Society of WA (ISWA) and its affiliated associations, hosted the third India’s Independence Day celebration at the WA parliament.
The event was a vibrant reflection of the strong and growing friendship between India and Western Australia. It highlighted the richness of India’s cultural diversity and underscored the importance of people-to-people connections in strengthening bilateral ties.
Leaders from politics, community organisations, and the wider diaspora came together to mark the occasion, reinforcing the shared values of democracy, multiculturalism, and unity. The celebration once again showcased how cultural exchange continues to bring India and Western Australia closer together.
