The Indian Society of Western Australia (ISWA) participated in the Australia Chinese Women’s Business Association’s “Tea for Harmony” celebration marking International Tea Day 2026 in Perth.
The event brought together members of diverse multicultural communities to celebrate friendship, harmony and cultural exchange through the shared tradition of tea.
ISWA said the gathering highlighted the role of chai and tea culture in connecting communities and strengthening social bonds across cultures.
Organisers noted that the celebration provided an opportunity for multicultural groups to engage with one another and promote inclusiveness, understanding and community harmony in Western Australia.
Community representatives from different cultural backgrounds attended the event, reflecting the growing spirit of multicultural cooperation and engagement in Perth.
