Melbourne, February 23 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk)

India’s Consul General in Melbourne, Anish Rajan, joined senior representatives of the Government of Victoria and executives from ITC Limited and ITC Infotech at the inauguration of ITC Infotech’s Asia-Pacific Headquarters and its new Digital & AI Engineering Hub in Melbourne.

The launch marks a significant expansion of the company’s presence in Australia and underscores growing economic collaboration between India and Victoria, particularly in advanced technology and innovation-led industries.

Speaking at the event, dignitaries highlighted the importance of strengthening cross-border partnerships in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. The new headquarters and engineering hub are expected to serve as a strategic base for ITC Infotech’s operations across the Asia-Pacific region, supporting clients in sectors such as banking and financial services, manufacturing, retail, and public services.

Officials noted that the investment reinforces Melbourne’s position as a technology and innovation hub while creating new opportunities for skilled employment and knowledge exchange. The facility is designed to focus on AI-driven solutions, digital engineering, and next-generation technology platforms that respond to the rapidly evolving needs of businesses in the region.

The presence of senior representatives from the Victorian Government signalled strong state-level support for international technology investments. Industry leaders described the initiative as a step forward in deepening India-Australia commercial ties, particularly in high-value sectors aligned with digital transformation and future skills.

The inauguration is expected to contribute to stronger business linkages and collaborative innovation across diverse industries. By positioning Melbourne as its Asia-Pacific headquarters, ITC Infotech aims to expand its regional footprint while supporting economic growth and technology-driven partnerships between Australia and India.
