A Rock Kurrajong (Brachychiton Acuminatus) tree was planted recently at Karratha Leisureplex as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, celebrating motherhood and environmental sustainability.
The initiative was jointly organized by the Consulate General of India, Perth, the Hindu Association of Pilbara, and the City of Karratha. The tree, native to the Pilbara region, serves as a tribute to the nurturing spirit of mothers while promoting ecological awareness.
The event highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and reinforced the commitment of the Indian diaspora to fostering cultural and ecological harmony in Australia.
