The Bihar Jharkhand Sabha of Australia and New Zealand recently hosted a vibrant Litti Chokha Mela in Sydney, drawing more than 550 participants for a day filled with food, fun, and cultural pride.
The event was a nostalgic tribute to the traditional flavours of Bihar and Jharkhand, with the irresistible aroma of freshly made litti chokha wafting through the venue. Attendees shared not only meals, but also laughter, music, and stories, making it a day to remember for the Indian diaspora in New South Wales.
The Sabha, which continues to play a pivotal role in uniting the Bihari and Jharkhandi communities across Australia and New Zealand, also announced its upcoming major event—Sharad Milan 2025, scheduled to be held on July 26, 2025.
This year’s Sharad Milan will be organised by the Sabha’s newly formed sub-committee, a team of enthusiastic members who aim to bring fresh energy and inclusivity to community gatherings.
More details about the event and participation opportunities will be shared in the coming weeks via the Sabha’s official channels.
