The Malayalee Association of Victoria (MAV) celebrated its Golden Jubilee with a
colourful Onam festival, showcasing Kerala’s rich cultural traditions of music, dance,
and festivity.The milestone event was attended by Consul General Dr Sushil Kumar, Assistant
Treasurer and Minister for Financial Services Daniel Mulino, Victorian Minister for
Corrections Hon. Enver Erdogan MP, Federal MP for Holt Cassandra Fernando, Mayor
of the City of Greater Dandenong Jim Memeti, acclaimed cine actress Navya Nair, MAV
President Madanan Chellappan, and vibrant members of the community.
Dr Kumar commended MAV for five decades of dedicated service in promoting India’s
cultural heritage, strengthening people-to-people connections, and fostering
multicultural harmony in Victoria.\
