Consul General Dr Sushil Kumar recently joined Julian Hill MP, Assistant Minister for
Citizenship, Customs and Multicultural Affairs and International Education, Eden Foster
MP, Cr Jim Memeti, Mayor of City of Greater Dandenong, and special guest Asif Ali,
popular Malayalee actor and producer, at a vibrant Onam celebration organized by
Melbourne Malayalee Federation Inc (MMF).
The colourful event brought together community members for a joyful evening filled with
music, dance, and cultural performances, showcasing Kerala’s rich traditions.
The celebration highlighted Melbourne’s multicultural spirit and the strong presence of
the Malayalee community, who continue to share and preserve their cultural heritage
while contributing to Australia’s diverse social fabric.
