Michelle Wade has been reappointed for an additional term as Victoria’s Commissioner to South Asia, based in Bengaluru, India.
Responsible for driving the in-market delivery of Victoria’s India Strategy, Michelle has led the Victorian Government’s promotion of trade and investment in this significant and growing region since 2017.
Michelle is a highly regarded trade and investment professional. She has over 25 years of experience in senior trade and investment roles, including three previous Austrade overseas postings in Europe and Southeast Asia, and leadership of the international network for Trade and Investment Queensland.
Michelle also has deep experience delivering high-impact initiatives such as the $45m Victoria’s International Student Emergency Relief Fund.
