Bhopal, Sep 16 (IANS) Undergraduate students across Madhya Pradesh will soon have access to verified digital lectures covering a range of subjects, with the Higher Education Department preparing e-content in both standard and regional languages.
The lectures are being developed for the department’s e-GyanSetu YouTube channel as part of efforts to expand access to quality study material beyond the classroom and are aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP), 2020.
The content will cover undergraduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce.
Ten digital studios set up at divisional headquarters are being used for recording the lectures, according to a statement from the higher education department.
Professors and assistant professors from government universities and colleges are preparing the academic content.
Graphics, illustrations and other digital visuals are also being used to make the lessons more engaging and easier for students to understand.
“The initiative will give students wider access to quality academic material and allow them to study, revise and revisit lectures according to their convenience,” the department said.
The department is also focusing on the linguistic diversity of the state by producing e-content in regional languages, including Bagheli, Bundeli, Marathi and Sanskrit.
Officials said students would be able to access the lectures through smartphones, laptops, tablets and other digital devices.
The format would allow them to replay lessons and revisit difficult topics as needed.
To maintain academic standards, the department has introduced a validation process before the videos are published.
A Validation Board will examine the content for authenticity, accuracy, curriculum alignment and educational quality.
“Every video will go through the validation process before publication so that students get accurate and curriculum-based study material,” it said.
The production, editing and verification of the e-content are currently underway.
Videos that complete the validation process will be uploaded on the e-GyanSetu YouTube channel in phases.
The department said the initiative would supplement classroom teaching and provide students with an additional digital resource that can be accessed at their own pace.
