The Consulate General of India in Brisbane recently organised the Namaste India event, celebrating India’s timeless wisdom, rich traditions and living cultural heritage.
The programme featured four interactive workshops focusing on Yoga, Ayurveda, Madhubani Art and Saree Draping. Each session offered participants an opportunity to engage closely with traditional Indian practices and art forms, highlighting their relevance in contemporary life.
The workshops witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the Indian community as well as friends of India, with attendees representing all age groups. The strong turnout reflected a keen interest in learning about and experiencing India’s cultural traditions.
The Namaste India event served as a platform for cultural exchange and community bonding, reinforcing people-to-people connections and promoting a deeper understanding of India’s diverse heritage in Brisbane.
