In a significant move to bolster trade and economic ties between Australia and India, the Australia India Business Council (AIBC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Canberra Business Chamber, as announced in a recent Facebook post by AIBC.
The agreement was formalised by Deepak-Raj Gupta OAM, National Chair of AIBC, and Greg Harford, CEO of the Canberra Business Chamber. This new partnership aims to promote business growth, create trade opportunities, and deepen economic engagement between the two nations.
The Canberra Business Chamber, with over 35,000 members, plays a pivotal role in supporting the ACT’s business ecosystem. AIBC, on the other hand, continues to lead efforts in fostering Australia-India bilateral trade and investment.
The MoU introduces a range of collaborative initiatives including reciprocal memberships, joint promotion of events, discounted access to trade programs, and co-branded activities, all designed to benefit businesses across both networks.
Looking ahead, AIBC plans to sign similar agreements with other state-based business chambers across Australia, further expanding its mission to connect the business communities of Australia and India.
