The 9th Ayurveda Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Perth Hindu Temple, recently, attracting over 100 participants. The event, focusing on the theme ‘Global Health and Innovation,’ featured free consultations from over 10 experienced Ayurveda and Homeopathy practitioners.
The celebrations began with a prayer to Lord Dhanvantari, delivered by students of VTCS-Vedic Training and Cultural Services, followed by a captivating Kuchipudi dance performance by Dr. Sheena Kartha. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi, in his address, highlighted Ayurveda’s timeless role in promoting health and well-being, while Cr. Caren Baayens of the City of Gosnells elaborated on its holistic benefits.
An engaging panel discussion on Ayurveda’s impact on holistic health, mental well-being, and seasonal diet changes was held, featuring Dr. Vidhu Sharma, Dr. Siva Krishnan, Dr. Sejal Shah, and Dr. Jini Jacob. The session was moderated by Nidhi Sanghrajka from SRMD Yoga.
The day concluded with an interactive Q&A with Ayurveda experts Karin Lakshmi Gunthor and Neerja Ahuja, followed by a saatvik annadanam offered by the temple. The entire event was emceed by community youth Janani Jayaseelan.
