The Consulate General of India in Perth, in collaboration with the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, celebrated National Handloom Day, honouring India’s weaving legacy and craftsmanship.
The event featured participants in traditional handloom attire — from vibrant ikat and intricate Abhala mirror work to classic khadi, elegant silk, stunning ajrakh, and delicate jamdani. The celebration paid tribute to India’s master weavers and encouraged the promotion of these timeless heritage crafts.
