India’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and
Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education Jayant Singh met with Amber-
Jade Sanderson, Western Australia’s Minister for Energy and Decarbonisation;
Manufacturing; Skills and TAFE; and Pilbara.
The discussions centred on expanding cooperation in vocational education, workforce
training, and sustainable energy initiatives. Both sides identified opportunities to link
Indian and West Australian institutions through joint programs in clean energy workforce
development, industry–TAFE collaborations, and training in emerging technologies.
The meeting underscored a shared commitment to building a skilled, future-ready
workforce while supporting innovation and sustainability in both regions.
