A multicultural dinner held at Queensland Parliament House on 1 November brought together ministers, business representatives and community leaders for an evening of meaningful engagement. Among those in attendance was Premier David Crisafulli MP, who expressed strong appreciation for the work of the Brisbane Super Kings Cricket Club Inc.
The Premier praised the club for becoming one of Queensland’s fastest-growing cricket organisations, noting its key role in supporting hundreds of multicultural families, particularly those from the Indian subcontinent. Brisbane Super Kings has been actively creating volunteer opportunities for parents, developing structured pathways for young cricketers and collaborating with all three levels of government to improve community sporting infrastructure.
The club also acknowledged the sustained support of Queensland Cricket and Cricket Australia, which has enabled more than $4 million worth of cricket projects since its inception. With four home locations established and 26 junior teams already active, Brisbane Super Kings continues to expand rapidly.
Leaders indicated that a major announcement is expected soon, with $12 million in additional projects being planned in the lead-up to Brisbane 2032. The event highlighted cricket’s continued role in strengthening Queensland’s multicultural communities.
