BRISBANE, AUGUST 25/INDIAN ABROAD NEWSDESK

The official poster for FICQ Diwali 2026 was launched by Queensland premier David Crisafulli, marking the beginning of the countdown to one of the state’s major celebrations of Indian culture and community.

The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) described the launch as a proud moment as the Premier unveiled the poster for this year’s Diwali celebrations.

The event is scheduled to be held on November 6, 2026, at King George Square in Brisbane CBD from 11 am to 10 pm.

The celebration will showcase the diversity of Indian culture through performances, festivities and community activities, bringing together people from different backgrounds to celebrate the Festival of Lights.

FICQ said the event would highlight the themes of culture, community and unity, while inviting the wider Brisbane community to join the celebrations.
