India’s National Handloom Day 2025 was marked in Queensland as Consul General of India in Brisbane, Neetu Bhagotia, presented a handloom stole to Rosslyn Bates MP, Queensland’s Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training.
The gesture celebrated India’s rich handloom heritage and its role in supporting artisans and sustainable livelihoods.
On the occasion, the Consul General and Minister Bates also discussed expanding trade and investment opportunities between India and Queensland, reaffirming their commitment to stronger bilateral economic ties.
