Jaipur, June 20 (IANS) In a major administrative reshuffle past midnight, the Rajasthan Government led by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, transferred 178 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers across departments and field postings in the wee hours of Saturday.

The transfer list includes appointments of officers Awaiting Posting Orders (APO), changes in ministerial Special Assistants, university Registrars, and key departmental positions.

Among the significant decisions, 12 officers who were under APO have been assigned new responsibilities, while transfer orders of five officers have been cancelled.

The Rajasthan State Seed Corporation witnessed a leadership change amid ongoing discussions surrounding a bribery case involving an Independent Director of the corporation.

Executive Director Gaurav Chaturvedi has been appointed as the new Managing Director (MD), replacing Vinita Singh, who has been shifted as Chief Executive Officer of the Rajasthan Rural Livelihood Council.

Vinita Singh had assumed charge as MD of the Seed Corporation on May 13, making her tenure slightly over a month before the latest transfer order.

Formerly under APO status, RAS officer Pinky Meena has been posted as Assistant Director (Public Service) in the Administrative Reforms and Coordination Department, Sawai Madhopur. Meena had remained without a regular posting for nearly five-and-a-half years and was suspended in connection with a bribery case. Following court-directed reinstatement, she was placed under APO before receiving her latest assignment.

Senior RAS officer Dr. Vibhu Kaushik has been appointed Special Assistant (SA) to Health Minister Gajendra Singh. He has been transferred from the post of Additional Director in the State Insurance and Provident Fund Department. Kaushik previously served as Executive Director of the Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation and had earlier worked as Special Assistant to former Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Lalchand Kataria.

The government has also reshuffled Special Assistants attached to several ministers. Balwant Singh Ligri, SA to Health Minister Gajendra Singh, has been appointed Executive Director of the Rajasthan State Beverages Corporation.

Rakesh Kumar, SA to Minister of State for Rural Development Otaram Dewasi, has been posted as Land Settlement Officer, Sikar. Chandan Dubey, SA to Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Joraram Kumawat, has been appointed Deputy Secretary to the Governor. Mukesh Kumar Kalal, who was serving as Deputy Secretary to the Governor, has been transferred as Special Assistant to Otaram Dewasi.

The government has cancelled transfer orders of several officers that were issued in previous reshuffle rounds. Pushkar Mittal’s transfer from SDO Manoharthana to SDO Deeg has been cancelled.

Arshdeep Brar’s transfer from Assistant Land Settlement Officer, Jaipur, to Joint Director at HCM RIPA has been revoked.

Mohammad Tahir’s transfer from DIG (Stamps), Bhilwara Circle, to Deputy Director, Women and Child Development Department, Karauli, ordered on September 15, 2025, has also been cancelled after nearly nine months.

The reshuffle also includes appointments of registrars in state universities. Anurag Bhargava is Registrar, Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, Murlidhar Pratihar is Registrar, University of Kota, Chandrabhan Singh Bhati is Registrar, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur and Raju Lal Gurjar is Registrar, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur.
