Raja Ravi Varma’s oleographs on display in rare exhibition at QAGOMA

The Queensland Art Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) has opened a year-long exhibition titled “God of Small Things,” showcasing the timeless oleographs of legendary Indian artist Raja Ravi Varma.

The exhibition highlights how Ravi Varma revolutionised Indian art by pioneering printmaking techniques that brought sacred and mythological imagery into the everyday lives of millions. His vision of making art accessible to all continues to resonate more than a century later.
