The Annual Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra (from 2 July to 9 July 2022) was organised by the Hindu Temple and Cultural Centre (HTCC) in association with the Hindu Council of Australia and ORIOZ.
On 2 July 2022, Lord Jagannath, Subhadra, Balram and Sudarshan Chakra were taken in a chariot around the streets of Florey from 10.30 am to 12 pm followed by Arati, Bhajan and Mahaprasad at the HTCC, Florey.
Despite windy weather and 80-90% rain forecast, everything went well as was planned. When Rath was going around, people came out of their homes and greeted the Yatra by chanting, singing and clapping.
Bahuda Yatra (with Havan, Bhajan, Arati and Mahaprasad) was conducted on 9 July in association with the Vishnu-Shiva Mandir, and Lords were taken to the Vishnu-Shiva Mandir, Mawson, from 10.30 am to 2.30 pm.
