The Indian High Commission in Canberra recently honoured Sahil Jha for his inspiring 1500-kilometre cycling journey across Australia to raise awareness for the global Save Soil movement. The event brought together diplomats, environmental advocates, and community members, with former Queensland Governor Penny Wensley AC attending as Guest of Honour.

Jha’s solo ride was hailed as a remarkable example of youth-driven environmental action, using the power of perseverance to spotlight the urgent need for soil health and ecological preservation.

The High Commission commended Jha for his dedication, underlining how individual efforts can contribute meaningfully to global sustainability goals.
