The Consulate General of India recently organized two consular camps in Tarneit and Rowville, Victoria, to help senior citizens of the Indian diaspora receive life certificates required for their pensions from India. The initiative was warmly received by the community, with a total of 172 certificates issued.
In Tarneit, Club 60 volunteers assisted with organizing the camp, providing crucial support to seniors during the process. Meanwhile, the Australia India Community Centre (AICCT) in Rowville hosted the second camp with assistance from the Federation of Indian Associations of Victoria (FIAV). The event also included lunch for the senior citizens provided by Tandoori Junction, adding a hospitable touch to the proceedings.
