The Consul General of India in Brisbane, Neetu Bhagotia, attended the second anniversary celebration of Shakti Global, a Gold Coast-based non-profit organisation dedicated to holistic health, cultural engagement and community wellbeing.
The event brought together community leaders, dignitaries and residents, highlighting the organisation’s ongoing work in promoting mental health awareness, spiritual care and inclusive community programmes across the region. Federal Member for Moncrieff Angie Bell and Queensland’s Assistant Minister for Multicultural Affairs and International Student Attraction Hermann Vorster were also present, underscoring strong local support for multicultural initiatives.
Organisers said Shakti Global’s programmes aim to foster wellbeing through a blend of cultural activities, health awareness and social connection. The anniversary celebration featured cultural performances that reflected the diversity of the community, along with yoga and wellness sessions conducted by Art of Living Australia, which drew enthusiastic participation from attendees.
Speakers at the event praised the organisation’s efforts in creating a supportive environment that encourages dialogue around mental health and personal growth while strengthening cultural bonds within the Gold Coast community.
