Swachhata campaign Indian community plants 1000 saplings

 

Prth, October 5 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk)

The Indian diaspora in Perth came together to plant over 1,000 herbal plants and tree saplings along the Canning River near Burslem Bridge, Thornlie, as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, recently. Organized in partnership with Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group, the initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation under the  Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam drive.

Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi, community members, and enthusiastic children participated in the plantation drive. Support came from various community groups, including the Marathi Association Perth, Bihar Jharkhand Sabha of Australia and New Zealand, and more.

This green effort highlighted the community’s commitment to environmental sustainability and unity.
