The Consulate General of India, Sydney has invited members of the Indian community to attend a flag hoisting ceremony to mark the 77th Republic Day of India.
The ceremony will be held at 9.00 am on January 26, 2026, at the Consulate premises located at Level 2, 265 Castlereagh Street, Sydney NSW 2000. The event is part of the official Republic Day celebrations and is expected to bring together members of the Indian diaspora and friends of India.
Organisers have advised that registration is mandatory for attendance at the event.
Republic Day commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India and is one of the country’s most significant national occasions, celebrated annually by Indians in India and abroad.
