The Consulate General of India in Sydney, in collaboration with Sri Om Care, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 (IDY 2025) with a vibrant community event at the Glenwood Community Hub, aligning with this year’s global theme — “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The event was graced by the presence of Warren Kirby, Member of Parliament and president of the New South Wales–India Parliamentary Group, whose attendance highlighted the strong and growing cultural ties between India and Australia.
Participants from diverse backgrounds came together to embrace yoga’s holistic benefits through guided sessions, reflecting the unifying power of this ancient Indian practice. The event promoted well-being, sustainability, and cross-cultural understanding—core values embedded in the IDY 2025 theme.
Organisers and attendees alike described the celebration as a meaningful step toward community health and global harmony through the timeless discipline of yoga.
