The Telugu Association of Australia Inc. (TAAI) will organise a cultural programme in Melbourne on May 31 celebrating the legacy of legendary Telugu saint poet Tallapaka Annamacharya.
The event will be held at Banksia in Keysborough from 2.30 pm onwards and will feature devotional music, dance and performances centred on Annamayya Sankeertanalu.
Organisers said the programme will bring together Telugu music and dance performers from across Melbourne in an evening dedicated to devotion, culture and classical arts.
Several music and dance institutions are collaborating in the event, including Krishna Ravali School of Indian Music, Maanikya Veena Music Group, Swara Sadhana School of Carnatic Music, RagaAmrutha Music School, Gayatri Music Academy, Natyarasa Kuchipudi Dance School, Abhinaya Nrityamala Kuchipudi Dance School and NrityanuRoopam Dance Academy.
Tea, coffee and snacks will also be provided for attendees during the programme.
TAAI said the event aims to celebrate Telugu cultural heritage and promote Indian classical music and dance within the wider community.
