The Tamil Association of Queensland (TAQ) honoured respected community leader Devi Vivekanandham during its 40th anniversary celebrations, recognising her longstanding contribution to the growth and journey of the organisation.
TAQ described Vivekanandham as one of the remarkable women leaders who has played an important role in shaping the association over the years through her leadership, dedication and commitment to community service.
Organisers said her contribution continues to inspire women across the Tamil community and reflects the values of courage, vision and service that help build strong and united communities.
The association also acknowledged her role as a mentor and role model for younger generations, noting that her efforts have left a lasting impact on the TAQ community.
The felicitation formed part of TAQ’s wider 40-year celebrations highlighting the achievements, leadership and cultural contributions of members who have strengthened the Tamil community in Queensland over the decades.
