The Telugu Association of Perth (TAP) and the Western Australia Telugu Association (WATA) jointly organized vibrant Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations recently, attended by Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi. During the event, the Consul General praised the Telugu community for its contributions in fostering a cohesive environment and supporting the Consulate’s initiatives. As part of the celebrations, he also inaugurated TAP’s newly launched website.
A highlight of the event was the recognition of Sesha Bhargavi Devalpally from WATA TeluguBadi Perth, who received the 2024 Outstanding Community Language Teacher of the Year Award. Her exceptional work as a community language teacher was acknowledged for its significant impact on students, the community language sector, and the broader community.
The celebrations reflected the Telugu community’s strong cultural presence and its commitment to education and community-building in Western Australia.
