The trophy tour for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup made a vibrant stop at Parramatta Square, offering football fans and the wider community an opportunity to celebrate the upcoming continental tournament set to take place from March 1 to March 21, 2026.
The competition will bring together 12 national teams from across Asia, including Australia, Bangladesh, China PR, Chinese Taipei, DPR Korea, India, Iran, Japan, Korea Republic, Philippines, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. The event is expected to draw strong regional interest as teams compete for one of Asia’s most prestigious women’s football titles.
Organisers encouraged supporters to be part of the tournament atmosphere by attending matches and backing their favourite teams. The trophy tour stop in Sydney highlighted growing enthusiasm for women’s football and provided fans with a chance to engage with the event ahead of kick-off next month.
