A delegation from Uttar Pradesh Awadh Manch WA, led by president Deepak Gupta, called on the Consul General of India in Perth Kajari Biswas to extend an invitation for Arohan 2026, a cultural event aimed at showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of Uttar Pradesh.
According to the Consulate General of India in Perth, the upcoming event will present a vibrant glimpse into the cultural spirit of Uttar Pradesh through its festivals, traditions and community celebrations.
The meeting highlighted the growing efforts of Indian community organisations in Western Australia to promote India’s diverse regional cultures and strengthen cultural connections among the Indian diaspora.
Representatives of Uttar Pradesh Awadh Manch WA shared details of the proposed celebrations and emphasised the importance of preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Uttar Pradesh among younger generations living in Australia.
Community leaders noted that events such as Arohan 2026 play an important role in enhancing multicultural engagement and fostering greater awareness of India’s cultural diversity within the broader Australian community.
