Perth, January 26 (Indian Abroad Newsdesk) The Swachhata Pakhwada initiative got a boost recently, when Dr Parwinder Kaur, Associate Professor at the University of Western Australia (UWA), STEM Superstar, an inspiring pioneer in the field of biotechnology, and a reputed member of the community, gave an informative and thought-provoking talk on the harmful effects of plastic and plastic-waste on human health, environment and planet earth. She discussed sustainable and reusable alternatives, elimination of single use plastic, diligent recycling and responsible disposal, and supporting plastic-free initiatives.
She was accompanied by Carina Robb from the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
