The Varnam Cultural Society – QLD held its annual multicultural celebration on May 17 at Springfield Central, drawing a large audience for a day of performances that highlighted the region’s cultural diversity. Members of the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) were among the attendees, joining community members and performers in a program filled with music, dance, and cultural expression.
The event showcased a wide range of talent representing various cultural backgrounds, reflecting Queensland’s growing multicultural population. Organisers noted that each year the performances continue to grow in quality and participation.
The celebration offered a platform for communities to connect and celebrate their heritage, with performances that ranged from traditional Indian dances to contemporary multicultural acts.
FICQ representatives commended the efforts of Varnam Cultural Society in fostering inclusion and promoting cross-cultural understanding through the arts.
