Victorian emergency workers honoured by Sikh community on Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Purab

On the auspicious occasion of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Purab, Sikh Volunteers Australia continued its tradition of recognising the dedication of Victoria’s emergency service teams. Volunteers visited several emergency units to deliver cupcakes as a token of appreciation for their round-the-clock service to the public.

The organisation also received a heartfelt message from the Premier of Victoria, Jacinta Allan, who paid tribute to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s universal message of compassion, service and equality. SVA shared the Premier’s greeting with the broader community during the observance.

Marking the birth anniversary of the revered Sikh Guru, SVA encouraged all to reflect on his guiding principles of humility, love and selfless service. The organisation wished everyone a peaceful and blessed Gurpurab.
