Members of the Kashmiri Pandit Cultural Association of Victoria have welcomed India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his Australia visit, highlighting the role of the Indian diaspora in strengthening the cultural and community ties that continue to underpin the Australia-India relationship, according to the Consulate General of India in Melbourne.

The Consulate said the initiative reflected the community’s commitment to preserving its heritage while contributing to Australia’s multicultural society.
