The Vietnamese Community in Western Australia commemorated ’Black April’ at the Koondoola Peace Park in the city of Wanneroo on April 30, 2022.
Black April is commemorated by the Vietnamese community every year on 30th April, to coincide with the anniversary of the fall of Saigon and the end of the Vietnam War.
Many Vietnamese people fled their country at this time, seeking refuge and a new life in countries, including Australia.
Dr Anh Nguyen and the Vietnam Veterans’ Association hosted this important event.
