Community organisation Indian Society of Western Australia (ISWA) welcomed the Leader of the Opposition in the WA Legislative Assembly and other WA Liberal Party representatives to the Indian Community Centre, Perth for discussions focused on community engagement and future development plans.
The visit featured a guided walkthrough of the Indian Community Centre, where ISWA outlined its initiatives and the role the facility plays as a hub for cultural and social activities. Conversations between community leaders and visiting parliamentarians centred on strengthening collaboration and maintaining ongoing dialogue on issues affecting the Indian diaspora in Western Australia.
ISWA representatives also provided updates on proposed upgrades to the centre, highlighting long-term plans aimed at enhancing facilities and supporting growing community needs. The engagement formed part of the organisation’s continued advocacy with WA parliamentarians, with organisers describing the visit as an important step towards fostering stronger partnerships and ensuring sustained consultation with key stakeholders.
