The West Test Breakfast was held recently in Perth, hosted by Deputy Premier and Minister for Tourism Rita Saffioti MLA, alongside Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley, former WA Cricket CEO Christina Matthews, former Australian cricketer Mitchell Johnson, and renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle. Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi was also in attendance, joining prominent figures in the cricket and Indian community.
The event saw the presence of Narayana Murthy, the new CEO of the Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) John Stephensen, and key members of the Indian diaspora. The occasion was marked by a special acknowledgment of the crew of INSV Tarini and senior Indian Navy officers, recognizing their contributions and presence at the event.
The breakfast highlighted the continued collaboration between the Australian and Indian cricket communities, celebrating the sport’s role in uniting people and fostering new connections.
