The High Commission of India, in collaboration with Canberra Hindi School, celebrated World Hindi Day 2025 with vibrant cultural programs and language-based competitions. The event saw enthusiastic participation from children, adults, and senior citizens, who took part in essay writing, elocution, and tongue twister contests. A special Kavi Sammelan captivated the audience, showcasing the beauty of Hindi poetry. High Commissioner Gopal Baglay attended the celebrations alongside other dignitaries, commending the efforts to preserve and promote Hindi in Australia. The event highlighted the deep-rooted connection of the Indian diaspora with their linguistic heritage, reinforcing cultural ties between India and Australia.
