90th Know India Programme from October 18

SYDNEY, SEPTEMBER 16/INDIAN ABROAD NEWSDESK

The 90th Know India Programme (KIP), a two-week Government of India initiative for young professionals of Indian origin, is scheduled to be held in India from October 18 to 31, 2026.

The programme is aimed at young members of the Indian diaspora aged 24 to 28 and provides an opportunity to reconnect with their Indian roots while gaining an understanding of contemporary India, its economy, technology and development journey.

The 90th KIP will expose participants to India’s rich cultural heritage, economic transformation, innovation and start-up ecosystem, and scientific and technological advancements. The programme will also introduce participants to India’s developmental journey towards the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.

According to the programme information, eligible applicants include young professionals aged 24 to 28 who are Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) or Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).

The initiative is designed to provide participants with a broader understanding of India’s social, economic and technological changes and strengthen their connection with the country.

The programme offers young members of the Indian diaspora an opportunity to experience India beyond their ancestral connections and engage with its changing economic, technological and cultural landscape.
