Australia India Business Council (AIBC) Chair Deepak-Raj Gupta OAM met newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Australia Nagesh Singh during a series of engagements in Canberra focused on strengthening bilateral ties.
According to AIBC, discussions centred on deepening people-to-people connections and expanding business engagement between Australia and India.
The meeting took place during a busy week in the national capital ahead of the Federal Budget, with AIBC representatives also attending a Canberra Business Chamber breakfast where panellists discussed the economic outlook and policy direction.
AIBC said the gathering also highlighted the participation of young professionals and emerging leaders, reflecting growing interest in Australia’s business and economic future.
The council additionally marked its 40th anniversary, highlighting four decades of work aimed at advancing Australia-India business relations and bilateral engagement.
