Indian High Commissioner to Australia Nagesh Singh met Minister for Education Jason Clare to discuss expanding education cooperation, academic partnerships and skills collaboration between the two countries.
According to the High Commission of India in Canberra, the meeting focused on strengthening Australia–India education ties, enhancing collaboration between educational institutions and deepening people-to-people links through education and skills development.
The two sides exchanged views on expanding academic partnerships and promoting greater cooperation in higher education, reflecting the growing importance of education in the Australia–India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The High Commission said education continues to be a key pillar of bilateral relations, with both countries working to strengthen institutional collaboration, student mobility and skills development.
The meeting formed part of ongoing efforts by Australia and India to deepen cooperation in education and build stronger links between universities, researchers and students in both countries.
