CANBERRA, July 2/INDIAN ABROAD NEWSDESK
India has donated Jan Aushadhi generic medicines and medical supplies to Nauru, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening healthcare cooperation in the Pacific under the Forum for India–Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) framework.
According to the High Commission of India in Canberra, the assistance reflects India’s continued support for Nauru and its broader commitment to advancing affordable healthcare and sustainable development across the Pacific region.
The donation is aimed at improving access to quality generic medicines while reinforcing cooperation in healthcare and other areas of mutual interest between India and Nauru.
The High Commission said the initiative underscores India’s enduring partnership with Nauru and highlights its commitment to the Global South through trusted and mutually beneficial partnerships.
The assistance forms part of India’s wider engagement with Pacific Island nations under the FIPIC framework, which seeks to deepen cooperation in healthcare, capacity building, climate resilience and sustainable development.
