Members of the Basava Samiti of Asia Pacific – Perth Chapter participated in the Clean Up Australia drive at Canning Vale College Senior High School in Canning Vale, continuing the organisation’s annual community service initiative.
Community members, including children, gathered early in the morning and took part in cleaning the school surroundings. Participants collected rubbish, broken glass, coffee cups, plastic caps, straws and other waste material from the area.
Organisers said the programme aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage community participation, particularly among children.
Following the clean-up activity, participants assembled at the main entrance, where breakfast and masala tea prepared by volunteers were served.
The organisers described the event as a meaningful and community-focused initiative and thanked children, parents and volunteers for their participation and support.
