Lucknow, July 5 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin met with NDA’s alliance partners and various senior leaders in the state during the weekend, as part of the party’s extensive outreach mission in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh.
Nitin Nabin met a host of leaders in Lucknow over the past two days, including those from NDA’s allies and also the party’s own former presidents in the state. The meeting was purportedly centred around strengthening the BJP-led alliance, expanding its organisational base and ensuring the alliance’s return to power for a third consecutive term in the state.
Nabin asserted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the BJP would form the government for a third consecutive term with a massive majority in 2027, breaking all previous electoral records.
He also voiced confidence that the BJP would secure an even bigger victory in 2027 than in the past and said that the alliance would retain power in the state with a “thumping majority”, highlighting the BJP’s focus on strengthening coordination among allies.
He stated that the BJP and all NDA allies are working with the resolve to transform Uttar Pradesh into an ‘Uttam Pradesh’, emphasising that since 2017, both the central and state governments have undertaken unprecedented work in the areas of development, good governance, and law and order.
“Our leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have worked for the people with a spirit of service. We are fully confident that in the 2027 Assembly elections, the NDA alliance will form the government with a thumping majority,” he remarked.
Targeting Samajwadi Party’s ‘PDA’ campaign, he said that the Opposition seeks to mislead the public through caste-based politics and false promises, but the people of the state have now understood these strategies.
Earlier, he also met with litterateurs and artists at the Hazratganj residence of Padma Shri awardee and writer Vidya Bindu Singh.
On a two-day visit to Lucknow, the BJP chief started his day by meeting former BJP presidents of the state at tea, where they discussed and deliberated upon the 2027 Assembly election strategy.
